CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) The use of comput- ers and software in both the design and manufacture of a product. For example, a machine part, aircraft component, or boat hull can be designed with a CAD program that can provide the final design instructions for use in a computer-driven, automated fabrication and assembly process.
