单词 C
释义

C

itor, Capacitive reactance is an inertial reaction to changes in the electromagnetic field created when an alternating voltage is applied. When AC passes through a component that contains reactance, energy is alternately stored in and released from a magnetic field or electric field. In the case of electric energy, the reactance is capacitive. As voltage is applied to the capacitor, charges accumulate on it and the voltage increases until it reaches the level of the applied voltage. At that point, no more current will flow. As the current reverses again, the capacitor discharges, reaching zero charge and zero voltage, and the cycle begins again. The greater the amount of capacitance, the greater the inertial opposition. The faster the reversal of current, the greater the inertial opposition. Capacitive reactance is measured in Ohms (Ω). See also capacitance, inductive reactance, and reactance.
