BS (Base Station) In a wireless network, the fixed central transmit/receive antenna and transceiver to which end user transceivers or mobile stations (MSs) connect.The base station also generally connects to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) or other public network, usually via microwave or wireline facilities.The base station may connect to a wireless network backbone or directly to other base stations, usually on a wireless basis.
