Antheil, George (1900–1959) The self-proclaimed bad boy of music, Antheil was a serious composer of significance and, later in life, a successful composer of film scores. In telecommunications, he and Hedy Lamarr, a famous beauty and film star, co-invented spread spectrum (SS) radio, which is the basis for code division multiple access (CDMA).
