| 释义 | Netscape Navigator A Web browser featuring simultaneous image loading and continuous document- streaming speed performance.The software was developed at Netscape Communications Corp. by a team led by Marc Andreessen, the creator of the original Mosaic browser, and was first commercially available in late 1994. Netscape Navigator subsequently was packaged in the Netscape Communicator application software suite and lost its individual identity. In 1998, Netscape began work on an open source version known as Mozilla. In 1999, Netscape was acquired by America Online (AOL), which packaged Netscape software as part of AOL service.
