IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) The group of the Internet Society (ISOC) that identifies, prioritizes, and addresses short-term Internet issues and problems, including protocols, architecture, and operations. The IETF publishes proposed Internet standards in the form of Requests for Comment (RFCs). Once the final draft of a standard is prepared, it is submitted to the Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG) for approval.
