| 释义 | HiperLAN/1 (High performance radio Local Area Network version 1) An ETSI standard (Feb- ruary 2000) for a wireless LAN (WLAN) operating in the 5.725–5.825 GHz range. HiperLAN1 operates at rates up to 20 Mbps, and HiperLAN2 at rates up to 54 Mbps. HiperLAN uses orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) as the signal modulation technique. HiperLAN grew out of efforts to develop a wireless version of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) and a European alternative to IEEE 802.11.
