单词 | DMT (Discrete MultiTone) |
释义 | DMT (Discrete MultiTone) Also known as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). A modulation technique that splits the signal into a stream of data symbols for massively parallel simultaneous transmission over 256 or more narrowband, low data rate subcarrier frequencies, each of which is a voice grade channel with a width of 4 kHz. DMT is used in IEEE 802.11a (Wi-Fi5), 802.11g (Wi-Fi), and 802.16 (WiMax) wireless systems, as well as asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) and broadband over power line (BPL) technologies. See also 802.11a, 802.11g, 802.16, ADSL, BPL, COFDM, modulation, narrowband, signal, subcarrier, symbol, voice grade, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi5, and WiMAX. |
