CT was an intermediate step in the evolution from the third generation of digital electronic common control (ECC) telephone systems to the fourth generation of IP-based systems. The term computer telephony was coined by Howard Bubb of Dialogic Corporation (subsequently acquired by Intel and later sold to another company that renamed itself Dialogic Corporation). |
