The former astronomical observatory of the University of Toronto, Canada, at Richmond Hill, Ontario, founded in 1935. Its main instrument is a 1.88-m reflector, opened in 1935, the largest optical telescope in Canada. In 2008 the Observatory closed for research purposes and is now operated as a public education facility by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
