An optical and infrared interferometer consisting of six 1-m telescopes in a Y-shape with baselines up to 331 m, situated at Mount Wilson Observatory. It is operated by the Center for High Angular Resolution Astronomy (hence CHARA) of Georgia State University. It made its first observations in 1999 and became fully operational in 2004.
