A stage in the Late Permian epoch, preceded by the Wuchiapingian, followed by the Induan (Triassic), and dated at 253.8–251 Ma ago (Int. Commission on Stratigraphy, 2004). It is roughly contemporaneous with the Bundsandstein (western Europe), upper Amarassian (New Zealand), and upper Ochoan (N. America).
