A mountain in Chile which is the site of the 8.4-m Large Synoptic Survey Telescope, the 8.1-m Gemini South telescope (see gemini observatory), and the 4.1-m Southern Astrophysical Research (SOAR) Telescope. Cerro Pachón lies 10 km southeast of Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory.
