A 25-m telescope for millimetre and submillimetre astronomy planned by a consortium of US, Canadian, and German institutes at an altitude of 5600 m near the summit of Cerro Chajnantor, Chile. CCAT will act as a wide-field survey instrument to complement the observations of the Atacama Large Millimeter Array. It will be preceded by a 6-m pathfinder telescope, CCAT Prime (CAT-p).
