A system of intermediate-band photometry devised at the Vilnius observatory, Lithuania. The eight filters with their wavelengths and bandwidths are U, 345 and 40 nm; P, 374 and 26 nm; X, 405 and 22 nm; Y, 466 and 26 nm; Z, 516 and 21 nm; V, 544 and 26 nm; T, 625 and 20 nm; and S, 656 and 20 nm. These filters are designed to enable temperatures, luminosities, and peculiarities in composition and reddening to be derived. See also vilgen photometry.
