A model of rifting across Rodinia, proposed by Eyles and Januszczak (2004) Earth Science Revs 65, 1, who hypothesize that Rodinia became progressively ‘unzipped’ after c.750 Ma by two large ‘megarift’ systems that developed along the western and eastern margins of Laurentia, and that the duration of rifting varied from one part of the rift system to another.
