A small satellite of Jupiter, also known as Jupiter XLVI. It orbits 17 056 000 km from the planet’s centre every 456.28 days at an inclination of 51°.6. Carpo has a diameter of aboutio 4 km and was discovered in 2003 from ground-based observations. It gives its name to the Carpo prograde group of Jovian satellites, of which it is so far the sole member.
