A smartphone with one or more cameras integrated into its body. It is usual for such phones to have two cameras. One camera faces out of the rear of the phone and is usually the higher-resolution of the two. It is used to take photographs and videos in a manner similar to a regular camera, using the smartphone screen as a viewfinder. The other camera, with lower resolution and a smaller lens, is mounted above the screen facing the user. It is used for video calls and taking photographs of the user (‘selfies’).
