A survey providing information on expenditures and incomes of US consumers, along with their individual and household characteristics. It consists of two components: the Quarterly Interview Survey and the Diary Survey. The survey has been collected for the Bureau of Labour Statistics of the United States by the US Census Bureau continuously since 1980 and with ten-year intervals prior to that.
