A catalogue of stars brighter than about magnitude 6.5, published by Yale University Observatory and hence also known as the Yale Bright Star Catalogue. It contains positions, magnitudes, spectral types, and other data for the 9096 stars in the Harvard Revised Photometry. The first edition of the catalogue appeared in 1930 and the fourth in 1982; a fifth edition was issued in electronic format in 1991. A Supplement containing another 2603 stars down to magnitude 7.1 was published in 1983.
