A type of continuous centrifuge used to separate liquids carrying suspended particles or droplets of a dispersed phase. It has a set of perforated conical discs that are used to separate the feed liquid into layers. The liquid is fed at the centre of the rotating disc and the suspended particles or heavier dispersion of liquid phase is removed radially.
