An observatory founded in 1996 at an altitude of 2500 m on Mount Bakirlitepe about 50 km west of the city of Antalya in southern Turkey. Its main telescope is the 1.5-m Russian–Turkish Telescope (RTT150), opened in 2001. A 1-m telescope was opened in 2009. The observatory is owned and operated by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).
