Asia’s first stock exchange, which was established in 1875 under the name of ‘The Native Share and Stock Brokers’ Association’. The exchange provides markets for trading equities, including those of small and medium enterprises, debt instruments, derivatives, and mutual funds. In September 2015 the total market capitalization of the companies listed on the BSE was US$1.64 trillion.
