A morphoclimatic region in which the rate of chemical weathering is high during the wet season and that of mechanical weathering is low to moderate. Fluvial action is high during the wet season, with material being transported across the surface as well as along channels. There is a fair amount of mass-wasting. Wind action is generally low, but locally moderate during the dry season.
