A pair of 6.5-m reflectors sited 60 m apart at the Las Campanas Observatory, Chile, jointly owned and operated by the Carnegie Institution for Science, the Universities of Arizona, Harvard, Michigan, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The first of the pair, named the Walter Baade Telescope, was opened in 2001. The second, the Landon Clay Telescope, opened in 2002.
