An early warning system for near-Earth asteroids consisting of two 0.5-m wide-field Schmidt telescopes in Hawaii that can scan the whole visible sky down to 20th magnitude twice each night, weather permitting. ATLAS-1 began operation on Haleakala in 2015 and ATLAS-2 on Mauna Loa in 2017.
