A series in the Lower Cretaceous of New Zealand, underlain by the Oteke and overlain by the Clarence. It comprises the Mokoiwian and Korangan, which are roughly contemporaneous with the Neocomian series and the subsequent Barremian, Aptian, and lower Albian stages.
