A Russian cluster of remote-sensing minisatellites for Earth observation that has an infrared capability allowing it to detect fires as small as 5 × 5 m on a 2000-km swathe. They were launched on 14 July 2017, from Baikonur, Kazakhstan, into three different polar orbits at about 500 km, 600 km, and 475 km.
