A distribution used to model circular data (see cyclic data). It can be regarded as wrapping a Cauchy distribution around the circle. The probability density function f is given bywhere ρ (0 < ρ < 1) is a constant. For many values of ρ the distribution closely resembles a von Mises distribution.
