A society, founded in 1947, devoted to the mathematical and statistical aspects of biology. Through its regional organizations the Society sponsors regional and local meetings and it has more than 6000 members worldwide. Its principal publications are Biometrics and (jointly with the American Statistical Association) the Journal of Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Statistics.
