Soils related to luvisols that occur mainly in humid temperate regions of western and central Europe. They have reducing conditions within 50 cm of the surface and strong mottling in 50% of the reducing layer that develops under temporary saturation. The topsoil may be bleached and concretions may occur in the subsoil. They are a soil group in the World Reference Base for Soil Resources.
