Blank space in a posting to a social media forum or email which precedes part of the text of a spoiler. Such text usually gives away the plot of a film or book and is preceded by some textual warning that this is about to happen. Spoiler space is inserted so that when the user is reading the email or posting he or she does not inadvertently see the spoiling text.
