A facility at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center that enhances the scientific return from NASA programmes in the space physics sciences. These include solar physics, cosmic and heliospheric physics, magnetospheric physics, and ionospheric, thermospheric, and mesospheric physics. SPDF ensures that NASA's space physics is accessible, communicates significant discoveries from the space physics programmes, and performs space physics research. Many of these programmes were formerly handled by the National Space Science Data Center (NSSDC), but were taken over by SPDF in 1992.
http://spdf.gsfc.nasa.gov//spdf.html Designed to provide researchers with space physics data, this site has lots of information about space weather and how it is monitored. The Space Physics Data Facility's ‘space weather resource page’ makes it easy to pick out missions targeted at specific solar, near-Earth space, or atmospheric phenomena.
