A launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center from which uncrewed Apollo project missions were launched, as well as other spacecraft. The complex was built in 1963 and there were eight Apollo launches from 1964 to 1968. SLC 37 was deactivated in 1972, and the Boeing Company converted the 53-ha site in 2000 into a launch complex for its Delta IV launch vehicles. The new facility includes a 101-m mobile service tower (MST) and a six-storey Horizontal Integration Facility (HIF) of 6 975 sq m for rocket assembly.
