Hauck, Frederick Hamilton (1941– ) Space Exploration
His three space shuttle flights included commanding the Discovery mission of September 1988, the first shuttle to be launched after the Challenger disaster in 1986. Hauck was selected as an astronaut in 1978 and left NASA in 1989.
