A constellation of the southern sky, representing a crane (bird). Its brightest star is Alnair (Alpha Gruis). Delta Gruis is a wide double of unrelated stars, magnitudes 4.0 and 4.1, as is Mu Gruis, magnitudes 4.8 and 5.1.
