An assemblage of trace fossils that includes separate vertical, U-shaped, or sparsely branched burrows. These may have been temporary or permanent dwelling places, depending on the feeding habits of the animals concerned, i.e. whether they were foragers or suspension feeders. The Glossifungites assemblage is characteristic of marine littoral and shallow sublittoral environments.
