A non-Newtonian property of certain fluids that shows a time-dependent change in viscosity setting more rapidly when they are stirred or shaken. Rheopectic fluids are relatively rare and include gypsum suspensions, Bentonite clay suspensions, certain lubricants, and printing inks. They are also known as antithixotropic fluids.
