A Russian centre used to train cosmonauts, located in Star City near Moscow, Russia. It includes centrifuges, a neutral buoyancy tank, mock-ups of International Space Station (ISS) modules, and simulators representing various spacecraft. NASA astronauts routinely train at the centre for joint projects, which have included the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project, space shuttle flights, and the ISS. This includes practice with Russian equipment and experiments, as well as Russian language courses. Astronauts from many other nations, from the UK to China, have also been trained at the centre.
