An electronic dispensing system to add water to dried foods and beverages aboard a space shuttle. An astronaut places a food or beverage container into the station, a water dispenser needle penetrates it, and the astronaut rotates a switch to select the quantity of water. Once rehydrated, the food and drink can be heated, if desired.
