A small cheap single-board computer originally developed for educational purposes and launched in 2012. The various available board types all come with central processing unit, RAM, basic input/output pins, and a GPU, with some types also offeraing USB or Ethernet connectivity. There is rapid growth in their use in the hobbyist and educational markets, with some emerging commercial use.
