An economic model in which prices are fixed in the short run, and quantities adjust faster than prices. The fixprice assumption is central to Keynesian economics and is provided with a theoretical foundation in New Keynesian economics. In the flexprice model the opposite applies: quantities are fixed in the short run, and prices adjust faster than quantities.
