A period of 669 synodic months (19 756 days, or 54 years 33 days) after which eclipses of the Sun or Moon repeat almost exactly. A pair of eclipses separated by one exeligmos will occur at the same node of the Moon’s orbit, will be of similar duration and magnitude, will occur at about the same time of day, and will be visible from a similar location on Earth. One exeligmos is equivalent to three saros periods.
