A test conducted on a spacecraft before its launch at the Kennedy Space Center. After being assembled in the clean room, a spacecraft is brought to the environmental test laboratory. The rigorous testing includes the craft being placed on a shaker table, where it is subjected to vibrations resembling those of a launch. The craft is also enclosed in a thermal vacuum chamber to test thermal resistance.

The testing laboratory is the final stage before a spacecraft is transferred to the launching pad.
