Officially known as the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005, or MGNREGA, this is an Act of Parliament in India stipulating ‘at least one hundred days of guaranteed wage employment in every financial year’ to households with adult workers in unskilled manual work.
