The elements of group 15 of the periodic table, i.e. nitrogen (N), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), and bismuth (Bi). The elements As, Sb, and Bi form a range of solid-state ternary compounds with interesting electrical and magnetic properties. Examples are LaSiP₃, K₆Bi₂Sn₂₃, and Yb₁₄MnSb₁₁. Compounds of this type are known as pnictides.
