A smooth, plastically sculptured feature (e.g. a groove, crescentic depression, or pothole), generally less than 20 m in size, cut into an exposed rock surface by the action of a glacier. It may be attributed to abrasion when it is linear and shows striations, but the origin of other types is uncertain.
