A constellation of the southern sky, representing a peacock. Its brightest star is called Peacock (Alpha Pavonis). Kappa Pavonis is a bright Cepheid variable that ranges between magnitudes 3.9 and 4.8 with a period of 9.1 days. NGC 6752 is a 6th-magnitude globular cluster.
