A general-purpose automatic weather station which can be air-dropped; it is 10 feet (3 meters) long and 22 inches (56 centimeters) in diameter, and is designed to operate for 2 months on a 6- hourly schedule, transmitting station identification, wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure, air temperature, and sea-water temperature.
