释义 | heat wave [`hēt ´wāv] ELECTROMAGNETISM Infrared radiation, much higher in frequency than radio waves. METEOROLOGY A period of abnormally and uncomfortably hot and usually humid weather; the condition must prevail at least 1 day to be a heat wave, but conventionally the term is reserved for periods of several days to several weeks. Also known as hot wave; warm wave. |
